For the person that questioned the cook time. Please all of the directions. The cook time for the cookies is 10 to 11 minutes. The cook time in the Recipe Summary is the combined cook time for the whole recipe. It is their guestimate of how long you will spend at the stove and or oven. People, please do not deduct points for you not reading all of the instructions.

This is very similiar to an recipe that I have been baking each Christmas for over 40 years. I am anxious to try it with the orange zest. Thanks!

I made the mistake of bringing a batch to work last year. Couldn't make enough! Ended up making 5! Planning ahead this year and will have a stockpile ready to go to spread a little more holiday joy.

When the first batch went in the oven, they turned brown within 11 minutes.I use a silpat and a convection oven. 20 minutes would be way overcooked. My oven is pretty close on temp and I allowed for convection time. The second batch was pulled out after 8 minutes and they are very pretty and thin and crisp! This is a tasty cookie, but watch them closely.
