This dish was not that flavorful. I love onions but this was not what I was expecting as far as taste goes. I think this would be more wisely used as a garnish or topping to another dish, but in itself not great.

This was SO GOOD!! I made homemade croutons out of french bread. I can't imagine using the store bought, I just don't think it would taste right. Other than that, don't change a thing. It was the perfect side to steak and so easy. YUM!

Excellent made this tonight with steak. Husband a little skeptical but raved about it after tasting.

Hubby LOVED this! I don't like onions, but the family needs more than just green beans - : He wants me to make this often. Like sarahsurowiec_5..., I have never written a review before but got lots of lip-smackin' with this one.

I make this all the time, it's awesome.
You can use any cheese, and I skip the croutons.

I have never written a review before, but had to rate this excellent recipe. I only used one large sweet onion and subbed the new "thick" worschestershire sauce and swiss cheese... and it turned out so well!!! Amazing side dish, tastes just like the soup as a side... brilliant!

    In one word - Horrible.

I ended up roasting these for an additional 15 minutes before they were tender. They were swimming in liquid and had no depth of flavor what so ever. It was a waste of good cheese.
