Pretty good, but not much different from other battered fish recipes I've tried. The potatoes did not crisp up as I was expecting, but were tasty.

Super light and crispy batter. Used Elysian IPA. Awesome.

My first time making fish like this and I loved it. Reminded me of an Irish restaurant back home that makes my favorite fish and chips. I had to take some liberties with the amounts to make it for 2 of us and it came out a little salty possibly because of that. The potatoes didn't smash as easy as I expected but tasted great. I paired it with a tartar sauce i found on here and some green beans.

This worked out really well for me! I didn't have the right cookware to fry anything- I'm kind of new at this- but the batter came out a beautiful, golden color. The flavor was perfect, too. I highly recommend giving this a shot for all the new chefs out there!

Love this fish!! (Haven't tried the 'chips' I've made it twice using cod & good ol' Coors Light because that's what's in the fridge. I've been told it'd be even better using a Guinness. I sprinkled the fish with granulated garlic in addition to the salt & pepper. So tasty & so easy! No more egg wash & flour/cornmeal mixture for us!! For those that have had trouble with the batter not sticking to the fish, please give it another try, it's worth it! Thanks for a great recipe!

terrible. I'm a very good cook-this is first recipe that didnt work. Batter so runny didnt stick to fish-batter ended up sticking to the bottom of my 60 year old cast iron skillet. Had to throw it out.

loved the lightness of the batter. I made it for our family of 3, next time I will cut the recipe in half- had way too much leftover that threw out.
Also used it for mushrooms which were excellent.

wasnt impressed at all...batter is way too runny....batter rinsed my seasoning right off the fish and into the batter...did everything it said to do, too...i let the batter sit in the fridge for 3 hrs...patted my fish down before i added my seasoning...i shouldn't have to coat my fish in corn starch first either...not my first time...nowhere near looks like the picture...fish was bland...a box of drake's batter mix with substituting beer instead of water is better than this, and you don't even have to coat it with flour or anything...has the british would say, rubbish
