Forgot to snap off the ends, since I'm still a novice-cook, but I took care of that before they were served. I also left out the pecans, simply because I didn't like the pecans. The cooking times were extended a bit to adapt to the high altitude (I live at 5,000 feet above sea level.
The texture came out just right, not too crunchy but a far cry from mushy. The flavor was balanced, not over powering. It was a wonderful addition to our Thanksgiving dinner.

I fixed this recipe for our family Thanksgiving Dinner and it was a huge hit! I have already forwarded it to two people...and, I never change the recipe until I have tried it at least once! I do not understand why people feel they have to change the recipe!! If I do not like it...I just don't fix it again! To alter a recipe is the same as "there is no recipe"...so, why would you bother...get another recipe! It is that simple!

This was quite tasty! I used haricot vert instead of traditional green beans, so I shortened the cook time after adding the water.

I thought these were yummy, but I found they were much more "nutty" than garlicky. One of our bags of green beans had gone bad, so we ended up halving the recipe, except for the garlic...So we still used 4 cloves...but I found the garlic flavor was not as "in your face" as I would have expected with both the title and the recipe preparation. They were definitely yummy...just not as garlicky as I could have liked. Six cloves next time perhaps? :

I enjoyed these. Easy peasy. Squeezed some lemon on at the end. (Easy peasy lemon squeezy. I also left out the nuts (didn't have any.

My husband and I made this side dish last night and it was so DELICIOUS and easy to make! We omitted the nuts, and replaced the cayenne with chipotle since we didnt have any cayenne on hand. The chipotle gave it this incredible kick, and it was seasoned just perfectly. Thanks for the recipe! It was a huge hit in our family!
