Ginger was way too strong as called for in the recipe. Ended up making extra simple syrup and 'watering down' the original ginger simple syrup

It's only 1/2 oz of ginger - in the receipe
Now it does make 2 cups of ginger syrup - so please don't add ALL the ginger syrup (which it sounds like a lot of folks are doing.

I did not try this recipe, but 2 cups of ginger? Really? 2T might be more like it! Check out the recipe listed by Guy Fieri. It calls for a small piece of ginger (I use about a 1" piece, cut into slices. THAT recipe I made -- and it is fabulous! Other than the amounts of ginger, the recipes seem to be very similar.

It was way too strong with ginger flavor.
I love ginger and it was just too strong for the party goers and I threw it out.

I made this a little "lighter" by adding a dash more ginger syrup and a splash of Sprite. Better for those who don't like so much vodka presence. Also, I did a lemon zest with sugar rim. Yum!

I've been making these for two years, ever since I saw the recipe. Always take them on the road for out of town adventures.

I love the ginger flavor but this recipe calls for too much vodka. The proportions are off. We made the drink better by adding some seltzer.

I love ginger, but this is too much. If you have your heart set on a ginger martini, simply decrease the amount of ginger in the simple syrup.
