Added a whole bell pepper and served over lentils instead of rice. Super easy and delicious!

Excellent recipe and all my family loved it. Here's what I changed: 1. Forget the food processor and save yourself a whole lotta cleanup & work. Buy your canned tomatos already pureed and use minced garlic. I even used powdered ginger (altho I prefer fresh ginger...just didn't have any at hand instead of chopping fresh. However I think the fresh cilantro is a must. Also cut the water added to the tomato sauce down to 1/3 a cup instead of a full cup. Was a wonderful, flavorful, full bodied recipe. I served it with buttered steamed carrots & zucchini

I have made this recipe many, many times. It is delicious and a crowd-pleaser - even for non-Indian food lovers. And it is not a challenging, time-consuming recipe. I serve it with naan - mmm, delightful! I also use the curry rice all the time with other recipes. Be careful if cooking the rice in a stainless steel pot (not nonstick - you will lose rice to the bottom of the pan because you don't touch it for the 15 minutes it cooks. I left out the ginger, didn't add quite as much water to the tomato puree, and the cilantro is a must! Delicious!

This recipe is awesome. Made it pretty much as written and it instantly became a family favorite. Will try this recipe with chicken just to have an excuse to make it again!

Easy but delicious; amenable to adjusting the amount of spices to suit your taste. Highly recommended

Warming and flavorful. Rice turned out perfect! Great for beginner curry preparers and eaters! Not over the top.

I seriously doubt this was ever tested in the FN kitchens. IF I were to ever do this one again (and I doubt that I will, I'd definitely cut back on the amount of water in the tomato puree. While the overall flavor could work with some adjustments, this recipe just doesn't deliver enough to justify getting the food processor dirty.
