Directions

Cut four 4-inch rounds from 1 piece refrigerated pie dough. Spread 1 tablespoon jam in the center of each, leaving a 3/4-inch border around the edge. Brush the dough with beaten egg and crimp the edges. Sprinkle with sliced almonds. Bake at 450 degrees F, 10 minutes.

    These are like the ultimate easy/delicious treats!!! They are for crustoholics like myself. I consider pie crust almost as good as the pie itself, so these were perfect. Had some homemade appricot preserves and did top with almond. Think of all the possibilities, using jams, preserves, chocolate chips, nuts, etc. I didn't use the egg on the edges. But I did kind of crimp them so that the preserves didn't ooze out. So good...so easy...so simple!
