This recipe was almost perfect. I followed all instructions and we all enjoyed them very much but agree that the panko makes the patties a little too meatballish... lol. I will leave that out next time. 4.5 stars

I followed the recipe to T (unlike many others And these burgers ROCK. Alone the burger is good and the slaw is good but together they are Magic!

Really delicious and super easy even though I left out the grated apple. Will definitely include it next time.

So delicious. I always substitute greek yogurt for mayo, and in this slaw I don't think the difference was palpable. I used a spicy mango lime chutney, which went really well with the caribbean-style burger. This will be a regular on the summer dinner menu.

I changed the recipe a little by using ground chicken. I added feta cheese to the mixture and then sprinkled the burgers with more jerk seasoning. I let the burgers rest in the refrigerator for five hours. Everyone really enjoyed the burgers.

Ok, so I didn't make turkey burgers, I made beef because that's what was in my fridge. Still - oh my God! Absolutely amazing flavor and to quote my husband, "these are the best hamburgers I've ever tasted in my life." We added fresh mango slices and it worked perfectly.

The chutney was hard to come by but I finally found some at Kroger's called Patak's - used the hot mango one and I really think it makes a difference as the flavor is unique and makes the cole slaw stand out in a good way. I don't like cole slaw but this one with chutney was soooo good! If you can't find any, I highly suggest making your own from an online recipe.

It was time consuming to make the burgers and the slaw from scratch but so worth it. And as good as these were with beef, I think the flavors would be even better with turkey as the recipe is supposed to be. TRY THEM :

Best dang turkey burger! I used panko italian blend bread crumbs since thats what i had at home, i didn't use my jerk seasoning cuz i didn't like the way it smelled (it made me nervous used my own season blend & added yellow onions & scallions. I did not use this slaw recipe due to my store not having mango chutney,BUT THE NEELEY'S have the best freaking slaw receipe in the WORLD on here. I used that recipe and it was one of the best decisions i have ever made. My hubby & his brother (who hates turkey LOVED IT!
