BBQ sauce sweet followed by heat. Well worth the trouble and ingredients... not too thick, could use a little less brown sugar. But the group loved it. We had a throw down and loved all the new things we tried.

it was awesome!! i changed two things in it due to supplies.
1- i used honey instead of molasses
2- i used jack daniel's spicy southwest, instead of dry mustard

It was sweet and smokey and worked well as a marinade.

So delicious. I only changed the chilli powder and paprika out for one tablespoon of cayenne, since it's what I had on hand. I used it with pulled pork that I had just slow cooked for 10 hours in root beer, it's the best I've made yet!

This is by far one of the easiest BBQ sauces I have ever made and it makes a LOT of it. I have used it as a BBQ dipping sauce, which is VERY spicy and has a BITE to it. But when it's used for homemade pizza sauce, it tones down the overall spicy heat, and adds a rich layer of flavor. I would like to see what it will taste like on actual meat that I grill or if some honey is added to it.

It was good. I thought it was a little too heavy on the vinegar. I added some more brown sugar, some granulated sugar, a little bit of cumin, a pinch of white pepper, a couple tablespoons of honey, some adobo chipotle chiles, and one small sweet onion that I caramelized in 4 tablespoons of butter. Then I blended it all up in the food processor. I don't know if this counts as a Kansas City-Style BBQ sauce anymore but hey, I'm from Texas

I have made this four times now and it is easy and delicious. I skipped the brown sugar and don't miss it. I will never buy BBQ sauce again!

Awesome!!! I loved the flavor of this sauce! Close to the traditional BBQ sauce but has a little more spice. I used it on beef ribs and everyone loved it! I will make this again and again!
