I made this tonight for my boyfriend and we both really enjoyed it. It was quick, simple and delicious! I did end up adding a little bit more instant grits to thicken it up to our liking, but that is the only change I made to the recipe. Will be a do-over for sure!

Definitely 5 stars - for flavor and ease. The parmesan in the grits really adds to the dish and gives it that "something special" flavor. I've never tasted grits that I liked until this recipe! This was served with a nice simple salad & toasted buttered french bread cut into strips. Delicious meal. My Southern Grit Loving and Shrimp Loving husband & I thank you!

If you have a shell-fish allergy, replace the shrimp with chicken and this dish is just as healthy if not healthier because shrimp is a bit worse for wear when it comes to cholesterol.

This is a fabulous recipe! I've never had shrimp and grits before but I loved it. It was spicy, creamy and utterly delicious. So easy and quick to prepare. I used regular grits instead of instant but that only added 10 min extra of cooking time. I also added smoked paprika, lemon zest and a whole lemon(not much juice in the half I used. My family thoroughly enjoyed this dinner and I will be making this dish again and again. Thank you Food Network!

Great recipe! It was my first time cooking grits so i was a bit nervous especially since i was cooking for three others. But, it came out great, and everyone loved it!
I did make a few changes:
-adding onion to the shrimp
-using white cooking wine instead of water
-adding more lemon juice than suggested

This was a wonderful recipe! One mistake i made was using regular butter instead of no salt butter, so my grits were a bit too much full of a salty flavor. But this is definitely an easy and tasty meal! 5 Stars from me(:
