This was amazing but I did make a few changes to my liking. I added more garlic, more cayenne pepper, zested 1 lemon and cooked with the shrimp, juiced 2 lemons and poured in with the shrimp as it cooked as well as poured in some white wine. AMAZING!!!! Also, a bit more parm in the grits doesn't hurt :-

This recipe was great! It took less than 30 minutes to make on the first try. I'm sure as I get more familiar with the preparation it will be even faster. I used the juice of a whole lemon and used cayenne pepper AND red pepper flakes because we like our food on the spicier side. Other than that I followed the recipe pretty much exactly. I thought the lemon really brightened up the dish, unlike some other shrimp and grits recipes which can be a bit heavy. My husband had been wanting me to try to make shrimp and grits for a while and he loved this dish... totally cleaned the plate.

Great recipe for a quick week night meal. Kept to the recipe but used old fashion grits and cut the butter back in half. The recipe is great as is. Based on the reviews there is lots of opporunity in this basic recipe to add your own twist to it. Will try some variations, but this is a great recipe as is.

REALLY good - and very easy. Pretty much followed the recipe exactly and it turned out great. My husband doesn't really like grits but he really enjoyed this dish; I do like grits and loved it. I will make this again.

This was awesome! I had some frozen shrimp to use up so I searched shrimp recipes. This was quick, easy, and definitely one of my faves!

I love this recipe, but with a few alterations. Try less water (maybe 1 tablespoon and cilantro instead of parsley. Mmmmm, cilantro makes everything taste better! I also add a few capers too.

This dish is okay. Needs more flavor elements. I love grits and wanted to try something different. General Oglethorpe's Shrimp and grits is THE BEST! If you loved this one, you need to try that one. Yum!!!

This is the Bomb! It WAS SOOOO GOOD AND EASY TO PREPARE. I THINK THE NEXT TIME I WILL USE LESS LEMON JUICE OR NONE.
