I adjusted the recipe just a touch. I deleted the dill and replaced the Ham with Spicey Sausages. The soup was fantastic. My family even ate Leftovers!! That speaks volumes! Thank you Food Network!

This recipe by itself was just "ok." After some tweaking, however, it was a lot better. My family and I thought it had too much potato, not enough ham, and not enough flavor. I tweaked it a bit by adding the extra ham, and A LOT more yogurt for tang. It was definitely better the next day, but what recipe ISN'T better the next day!???

I substituted turkey for ham and it tasted delicious. I had never eaten Dill or Lentils before - I liked the flavors mixed together. It was very easy to make. Chopping of all of the vegetables took the most time, but worth it.

This soup looked just as good as the magazine picture! The dill was a little strong, but then again that might just be my own personal preference. There was a nice blend of flavors and I'm looking forward to seeing how it mellows over night for leftovers.
