The cake part of the cupcake was the best part. The frosting was quite sticky and the marshmellows would not stick to the frosting. cutting 100 marshmellows in half for a spring party is bad enough, it's when they fall all over the place and make a mess when it really gets on your nerves. Take my advice:
dont waste your time!

This recipe was rediculous. I am on a very tight income and needed something cute for easter. I went out and spent almost $40 getting all the ingredients and decorations for this recipe and guess what....the icing does not work as "glue" for the eyeballs and nose. I have nothing for easter now my nerves are shot and someone had the genius of calling this one easy to do. Every candy eye fell off the nose wouldn't stay put and all the mini-mallows kept falling off. NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN. Hope the grocery store still has some pre-done cupcakes.

I cannot believe I just sat here the night before Easter cutting mini-marshmallows in half. But with all the ingredients bought, I was committed to this cupcake. They are somewhat cute (though I could not make them as cute as the example picture but I would not make them again because of the time intense process. Wow.

These were very cute and easy to make but took way too much time for the result. Once was enough...won't make them again.

Everyone thought these were the cutest things at Easter. The actual cupcake is good too, but know that all the time spent assembling is often scrapped off by adults (kids loved all the marshmallows. Anywhoo, it was something new and different and fun to make with the kids.

The reason for nor eating is likely because marshmallows contain gelatin and it is an animial by product.

Can I offer that tinting the frosting under the lamb green to look like grass is simple and really cute and Walmart sells candy "rocks" on the candy isle to put around the little critter. Maybe even tint a bit of coconut green and sprinkle it around the lamb like "grass". Those of you that cannot find "eyes" can use colored edible decorating gel sold at any grocery store including WM on the cake frosting isle where the decorating items are. Just snip off the end of the tiny tube and squeeze out an "eye". No need to tell anyone to be careful then. Also, if you aren't a fan of the "recipes" here then just use cake mixes of your choice and ready made icing. If the ready made icing is not stiff enough then just add a bit of confectioners sugar! Hope this helps someone. Thanks to the person who entered this...Cute idea!
