I read the reviews for this recipe, and the suggested changes seemed worth taking into account, so that is what I did. I was VERY pleased!
    1. I used 1 Honeycrisp and 1 GS apple
    2. I used red onions cut into small wedges instead of shallots.
    3. I used boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into chunks.
    4. I doubled the glaze recipe and marinated the chicken in the glaze for 30 min.
    5. After marinating the chicken, I removed it from the glaze and placed in a skillet. I sauted it in EVOO with 2 cloves minced garlic, diced apples, red onions, and 1 tsp poultry seasoning.
    6. The chicken, apples, and onion all seemed to cook in the same amount of time for me. The apple chunks I used were somewhat large and remained crisp.
    7. I heated the glaze in it's own saucepan, letting it cook down. I added a mixture of cornstarch and water and stirred for a few minutes to thicken. Then poured the glaze over sauteed chicken.
    8. I served over brown rice with a side of roasted brussel sprouts.

This was easy to make and sooooo good and maybe even a little better the next day served cold in a chicken ceaser salad!
I'm lazy so I cooked the chicken in the oven, took the bones out before adding to apples.

Tasty and easy, used thighs and breasts. Skipped the apples and added potatoes and carrots.
    My boyfriend loved it!

Fast, easy, and simply delicious! The only thing I did differently was use boneless, skinless chicken breasts and saved some fat and calories.

I loved this recipe! My husband did as well. It was so easy and fast. I doubled the glaze per the other reviews. I also substituted the apple cider vinegar since I didn't have any with half red wine vinegar and half balsamic. I used my sharp kitchen scissors to cut the meat and skin away from the bone which made the chicken step so fast and simple. We will definitely make this again. We loved it!

I added yellow and red peppers. It came out ok but I didn't think there was anything special about this recipe however, my friend loved it and husband ate the chicken and skepped the apples

Tasty and easy. Doubled the sauce. Added a third apple. Pretty complex taste for such an easy recipe.

The whole family liked it! I doubled the sauce as recommended by other reviewers. Chicken was just right. Used 3 boneless chicken breasts instead of the bone-in. Used 1/2 a red onion instead of shallots. Used 1 tsp dried sage instead of fresh. Liked it a lot. Will make again. Next time, tho, I'll put the apples in the last 2-3 minutes only so they're crisper. Yummy!

The dish is easy to prepare and make. Taste was great. My husband and son are very hard to please and they initially were taken back by the apples. Once they tasted them, they said they would eat the meal again, number 1 reason to give it 4 stars.
