My husband, who doesn't cook, helped me make this dish and he thought it was really easy to make. We used skinless chicken breast and 2 red apples because that is all we had. Most of the ingredients were in our house and only really needed too buy the sage and shallots. Overall great recipe! It was really easy, although the prep took us about 30 min and cook time was about 30 as well, but it was really yummy !

It took longer to cook than anticipated. The apples turned to mush. Everything was just too sweet for my liking. I think the flavoring is better suited for ham, not chicken. I won't be making this again, certainly not with chicken!

This recipe is SOO EASY and SO fast. I used chicken cutlet instead... couldnt understand the reason behind getting "bone in" and cutting it into pieces before cooking.. doesnt that defeat the purpose? Anyway, cutlets worked fine. I sauted the apples and shallots first, THEN added the chicken after a few minutes. To speed up cooking and to avoid rubbery chicken, I put the lid on the pan. After cooked, I added the glaze. I doubled the glaze recipe. tasty and fast, I give it 4 stars because for a quick dinner, its pretty good and creative!

Very good, I didn't have sage, and the apples were a lil soggy, but it tasted great anyway. I will surely cook this again :

Excellent, however, definitely not less than 60 minutes. I added parsnips, which were amazing. I changed nothing else. Made sure to brown the apples, shallots and parsnips, and all was gorgeous brown and caramelized and a fantastic, flavorful meal. Definitely going to be a staple.

The recipe is delicious. I enjoyed the maple glaze. Thoughts: 1 bone-in chicken thighs took a long time to cook. Next time I'll use boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs. 2 I doubled the glaze, and I'm glad. 3 Granny Smith apples became very mushy while the Fuji stayed tender. 3 I used vidalia onions which had good flavor. I'll definitely make this again.

Delicious and easy! I made a few changes including using boneless, skinless chicken breasts, adding potatoes, and doubled the sauce due to the added starch. Also great the next day. I plan on using this recipe again maybe with ham instead of chicken, red onions which we usually have in the pantry, and adding other root veggies.

This was soooo delicious! I used crazy janes seasoning salt instead of regular salt which just added a bit more flavor. The chicken was extremely tender and juicy! Everything was tangy and sweet, but also very savory as well. This is going into my list of favorite recipes! Super tasty and loved every bite! Will recommend to friends and family for sure!
