Wonderful! It tastes different enough that people know it is not just a container of BBQ sauce. I did modify the recipe considerably. I made this last minute for a party so I didn't have all the supplies on hand. I didn't have time to fry the onion so I just used minced dried onions. I also used cheapo maple syrup instead of molasses, because it is cheaper and I had it on hand. The sauce still tasted very good. I put in in the slow cooker with cut up chicken for sandwiches and then served additional sauce on the side. All party participants thought it was delicious, even the one year old little guy.
