Directions
Mix 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup whole-wheat flour, 1/4 cup oats, 1 tablespoon wheat germ, 2 teaspoons baking powder, 1 teaspoon each salt and chopped thyme, and a pinch of pepper in a bowl. Whisk 3 tablespoons molasses, 1/3 cup vegetable oil and 3/4 cup milk; stir into the flour mixture. Drop 10 mounds of dough (1/4 cup each) on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet. Brush with milk and sprinkle with more oats, thyme and salt. Bake at 450 degrees F until golden, about 12 minutes.

These biscuits were incredible. We love anything with molasses in my house. Very easy to make. A quick addition to any dinner and looking forward to making them again for breakfast. They are definitely a savory biscuit, but I think by adding a little sugar or honey you could turn them into an amazing muffin! Will be making these again and probably adding them to my holiday baking!
