Let me amend my previous post: what I mean to say was that I substituted chocolate chips for white chocolate chips. I did actually decide to use raisins this time around after all, and the cookies turned out really well.

These are amazing, I love them. My brother's favorite cookies are oatmeal craisin, so I was looking for a recipe to make some for him, and this was perfect... I just substituted dried cranberries for the raisins (no one in my family is big on raisins. They are a bit puffy, because of the chill time before baking. I don't know what gypsy_feet is talking about... mine turned out great, and there's a bit of a salty aftertaste, but that may be because I used salted instead of unsalted butter. Besides, the salty just makes the cookies taste better, to me, because it brings out the flavor of the oatmeal!

Never making this again! The cookies turned out lumpy, salty, and unappetizing. The previous review was definitely misleading. Trust ME. Do not make these cookies, if you can even call them that.

We loved these cookies. I doubled the batch and added a small can of pineapple juice and a teaspoon of nutmeg (remember I doubled the recipe. I also replaced the raisins with coconut. Turned out fantastic!
