This was by far the best Oyster Stuffing I have ever had. The recipe was easy and it was a huge hit at Thanksgiving. I will make this every year!

When I was asked to make the dressing for last Thanksgiving I was told to make a little "of that oyster stuff" and a large amount of the traditional. Do to some last minute mis-calculation on my part I wound up with equal amounts of both.
Much to my surprise and astonishment the family cleaned out the oyster dressing in a heartbeat. I hardly had time to get a serving myself. Now I had clearly marked both dishes so that people would'nt mistakenly chomp into an oyster and they still cleaned the bowel. I wound up begging people to take some of the traditional dressing home with other leftovers. With 10 to 12 cooks in the family there's always more food than 30 people can put away, after all, Thanksgiving is the best time to show off your skills to the rest of the family!
Thanks for the recipe! Next Thanksgiving I'll only make oyster dressing and save myself some trouble!

I am not the biggest oyster fan in the world, but I did try it and it was delicious. My father said it was the best he's had. I used more shallot than the recipe called for. It gives it more flavor and texture I think.

Easy to make (as long as your significant other shucks the oysters! and really good. I'm not a huge fan of oysters, but this has good flavor.
