Wow! I also registered with food network just to review this recipe. I had salmon (skin on marinating in teriyaki, for the grill. Well, rain, and fear of not enough propane changed my plans on grilling my salmon. The oven was out of the question because it was way too hot out for it So I attempted the pan... And wow! Salmon is so versatile and delicious! Thank you for the confidence for an alternate way to cook it!

I actually just created an account on FN in order to post about this recipe. I made dish less than 15 minutes ago and I have to say that I'm actually shocked with how amazingly well it cooked in about 10 minutes cooking time. I added a bit of garlic salt to each side of the salmon filets, which didn't hurt the flavour at all. I never thought i'd make salmon in a pan and not on BBQ or in the oven. Give this a go, if you're in a hurry or not!

Always add 4 capfuls extra dry vermouth per lb fish before heating to eliminate fishy smell.

So simple so good. Seasoned the buttered pan with Old Bay, garlic powder and pepper the way MsDiscious did and it was absolutely fabulous! Followed suggestions for sides and made horseradish mashed potatoes with caramelized onions and a little spring mix. Most definitely a keeper!

Seriously? I've never made salmon like this before and it was fantastico!! Although, I changed the recipe a little by using butter and sprinkled the pan with Old Bay Seafood Seasoning, garlic powder and pepper by seasoning the pan while the butter melted and then I placed the salmon in the pan for about 3-4 minutes flipping over the salmon with a spatula cook on medium-high heat.

I felt like a chef after cooking this perfect restaurant style salmon! It was so easy! I love salmon, but I have never been able to get the same juicy inside with crispy outsides. I always place it in the oven which makes it tough. It was perfect! Thanks so much!
