Was WONDERFUL!!! My 13 year old daughter liked it and she doesn't like anything new. A keeper! I followed the recipe as written, but I used chicken thighs and legs

This is a keeper!!! I have made this many times and it works great every time. I have made this for 4 people up to 24 people. I have no idea why someone would say it is bland. Follow the recipe!! I do make sure that I get a nice brown color on the chicken.

I rarely stick exactly to a recipe, but came pretty close to it on this one. Just added a bit more cream (to finish off a container and added some chives with the parsley. Also, I only had turkey bacon on hand, but it worked just fine. I used a mix of drumsticks and boneless thighs and found the drumsticks a bit bland, but the thighs really soaked up the flavors of the leek. Make sure you use the lemon - added that little fresh tang that balanced out the heavy cream sauce. Served over mashed potatoes - a perfect match. Thinking next time of adding just a bit of paprika to the chicken and maybe some chopped up sundried tomatoes. Really a nice base to work from and my boyfriend, who usually avoids leeks, was taking a spoon to the pan to get every last bit of leeks and gravy.

I took some one else's advice and added Italian seasoning... I did not have any cream so I used milk and added two scoops of cream cheese ... Delish... Sorry I don't measure for the exact amount of cream cheese...I also used bone less skinless chicken breasts... And served over noodles ... Hubby really enjoyed it...

Received a very good rating from my family. Had some concerns about the bland comment, so hedged by bet and sprinkled some Italian seasoning along with salt and pepper. Used skin-on chicken breasts, added carrots and marinated artichokes -- loved it! Took the suggestion of serving it with mashed potatoes and put the sauce over them. Delicious.

Bland with little flavor. All that work for a very boring dish. I read the reviews and sounded amazing but what a disappointment.

I made this the other night. My "bunch" of leeks was 3 stalks, about 3 cups. I used drumsticks and thighs and everything came out great. The leeks cook down into a cream sauce that would have been great with mashed potatoes of noodles. I will be making this again!

I made this chicken last night and it was excellent! I served it with mashed potatoes, as well. Used 2 stalks of leeks - wasn't sure what bunch of leeks mean. It was plenty for us.
