Sometimes, steak doesn't need anything special. Turned out great, and got a good crust on it from the cast iron skillet.

I prepared these steaks for a Valentine's Day dinner for my husband. He has been rating and ravening about them ever since. This reciepe is awesome and the steaks come out just as good or better then restaurant quality.

This recipe was delicious and surprisingly easy. I didn't think a steak this easy to make would turn out so elegant. I found a heart-shaped steak at the store and used that instead of the t-bone but it was still wonderful. My boyfriend and I loved it!

I have been looking for a steak recipe for the winter that does not involve going outside to the barbeque...this is it!! The steak was moist with great flavor

Spring for the Kosher salt if you don't have it because it really is worth the buck it costs for this recipe. My husband likes steak well done so I had to cook it in the oven a little longer - be prepared to hide the smoke alarm and open a window to let the smoke out while you're cooking this steak. The end result is just as good as grilled out - really. I did take a previous rater's advice to oil the steak and not the pan, which I think was the smart thing to do.
