Amazing! Almost didn't make this because of the review about the weirdness of the vanilla- so glad I did! Will be going into my keeper recipe list to definitely make again. Actually loved the subtlety of the vanilla.

Delicious! Made this after receiving some saffron pasta and thought the sauce would be great and it worked! Great flavor and the vanilla brought a new taste to it. I think I might try it again with veggies or chicken. Husband asked if we could have this in the rotation! Definitely worth trying. Try a Middle Eastern or Spanish store for the saffron.

I made this for my husband's Valentine's Day dinner. I found the pappardelle noodles easily enough but not so on the saffron. I wound up using a little bit of turmeric for the color; otherwise, I followed the recipe exactly. My darling husband raved about this dish and asked that it be added to our repertoire of recipes. We loved it and the subtle flavor of vanilla really won us over. We can't wait to make this again!

I made this for our valentines day dinner (the day after due to busy schedules, and it was delicious! My boyfriend loved it, said he could eat it every day, and he is normally pretty picky. I did have a hell of a time finding the parppardelle but eventually found it at a Nob Hill grocery store. I did alter the recipe probably tremendously so, I omitted the vanilla and saffron (which are probably pretty important to this dish but the vanilla didn't sound appetizing and saffron was too expensive. but I think its probably better with out them :P
The subtle onion flavor did so well with the cream and parmesan and the light coating of sauce was just perfect. Served it with roast chicken and steamed broccoli. Perfect dinner.

I made this for my husband and I for dinner (I doubled the recipe so we would have enough. I could not find pappardelle pasta at my local supermarket, so I cooked lasagna noodles, then cut them. I think next time I would find a different pasta to use instead. All in all, the dish was a success and both my husband and I enjoyed it. I will make it again.

I thought that the recipe had some promise for a special Valentine's day dinner for my wife to spice up the romance...Flatline. I have never had vanilla included in a pasta sauce, but I was hoping for Dessert after dinner. Well there is always Valentine's day 2014.... if we make it.

This was very easy yet gourmet. I served it with rack of lamb on Valentines Day. My husband thought it was delicious. The only thing I did different were the noodles. I could not find pappardelle so I used thick egg noodles. I thought of using lasagna noodles and slicing them in thirds but I didn't have any. Great recipe
