An easy and fun recipe. I made it for an office birthday party and it made a hit. I used Betty Crocker's vanilla cake mix and followed the directions exactly except that I added some brown food coloring to the peanut butter frosting to make the color more true.

I made this yesterday for 4 ADULTS! I followed recipe exactly. I did not cut the top off but just used the inside cut side as the top--it looked exactly like white bread. I used raspberry jam and everybody RAVED over it. I will make it many times over. Not too sweet and fun to eat.

Made this for grandkids' first day back-to-school. The youngest wanted his side peanut butter & fluff and the older wanted peanut butter & grape jelly as displayed. They were both happy & so was I!

This turned out better than I thought it would for me since I'm not the best in the confection department. I used the dental floss technique to slice off the top and down the middle which worked pretty well. It was a little crumbley put repaired pretty well with the filling. I used the store bought buttercream frosting to mix with the peanut butter and milk and it turned out pretty well. It's not as pretty as the picture but I know my grandchildren will enjoy it as a back-to-school treat.™©_©™

Easy to make and very yummy to eat. The only advice is not to use MOIST White Cake Mix because it will fall apart when putting it together. Altogether a great dessert for kids of all ages.

I'm a baker but not much of a decorator. This cake was easy to make and actually looked pretty much like the picture.
Let the cake cool completely so it is easier to cut and handle. You could always refrigerate it a bit to make it more dense before you start cutting too. I needed to thin the peanut butter frosting so it looked more like peanut butter. I also substituted strawberry jam. The cake is very rich so it goes a long way.

I made this cake for my brother's birthday and it was enjoyed by all. The cake itself is very simple to make, you just need steady hands for maneuvering the top half of the cake. I substituted strawberry jelly for the grape and it was delicious. Would make this again.

It's a shame, but this cake did not turn out very nice looking at all. I followed the recipe and the cake was all crumbly and very hard to work with. It tasted ok but had to throw it in the garbage as when I tried to even cut it, it fell apart. Could not serve it. Won't be making this again.

Made this easy cake recipe to bring to work for my birthday. Was looking for a recipe that tapped into my inner child......this sure fit the bill. Was appreciated by all.

This cake is easy as far as it goes but the recipe for the peanut butter frosting for me really did not work. I am very experienced with improvising so what I would suggest and what I did to make this easier and spread nicely was to use a can of whipped white icing and to that put about 1/3 cup of peanut butter and a table spoon of softened butter add some powder sugar if you need it for the smoothness if it is too stiff add spoon of milk This turned out best for me for spreading The recipe listed here just has too much fat in it and it doesn't whip up to spread
