I just finished making these cookies and they were a big hit! I used turkey bacon which was okay, but i will definetly use regular bacon next time. A little more chili powder would have really kicked it up and i added twice the amount of chocolate chips. Overall, these were really good and easy to make. lets hope my brother doesnt eat the whole bag of them before my parents get home!

I made these for my husband for father's day and they were easy and delicious. I did take the advice of some of the other reviewers and added more bacon (8 slices and more chocolate chips (1/2 cup I also omitted the peanuts. They came out great and my husband loved them. Also, the dough is exactly the texture that peanut butter cookie dough should be. I had no problems with it.

These aren't bad. I modified the recipe a little after reading comments below. I used 1/3 cup peanut butter, no nuts, more chocolate chips (like double, and WAY more bacon. If I'm putting bacon in a cookie, I'm going to make it worth it. I used 8 sliced, but would recommend a pound. I also omitted salt and used 2 eggs instead of 1. Oh and I used 5 tbsp butter and 1 tbsp bacon fat, instead of the 4/2 ratio it calls for. And I would increase the brown sugar to 3/4 cup instead of 1/2 cup. But these are all just my opinion.

These were so-so cookies. My family was not crazy about the flavor combinations, especially my dad who was the main reipient of this gift! There was a large amount of labor for the not-impressive or outstanding flavor. However, I found the cinnamon and chili powder in peanutbutter cookies to be a delicious twist that I will try later. I will definately not make these particular cookies again though.

I found these cookies to be only "okay". I have to admit it was slightly nauseating to mix butter and bacon grease til creamy, but hey, we love bacon...so we were all in. I found the cinnamon to be a little over-bearing, the bacon to be lacking, but absolutely loved the honey roasted peanuts in the recipe. As for the crumbly texture, it's alot like p.butter cookie dough, except the bacon grease helps make it easy to roll them into balls. I doubt I will make them again, but I will consider using crushed honey roasted peanuts in another type of cookie recipe!

Good, not great. Made them for my husband for Father's Day. I'm glad that the recipe only made 12 cookies. Definitely needed more bacon. I liked the chopped up peanuts because they added some crunch. Probably will not make again, but will be on the look out for more recipes like this - there has to be one out there that is better!

I read all the reviews before making these cookies and took into account everything that was suggested. I added more bacon (about 8 slices and a little more chili pepper (about 1/2 tsp. I had the same issues with the crumbly dough but I added about 1/3 cup of water to the dough and the consistency was perfect cookie consistency. I also opted for no peanuts. It reduced a lot of the peanut flavor but did take away from the sweetness that the honey roasted adds. Overall, these were a hit in my house.

I want to know what the people who say they liked these did differently! I followed the recipe exactly as it is written. The dough was very crumbly but I was able to get the cookies rolled into balls and pressed down as suggests with my hands. The flavor was so BLAH. It tasted like bacon dripping and peanut butter yucky-ness. Needed more chocolate chips for sure. They were dry and just really tasted like nothing.... nothing good at least.

I really don't think this cookie was all that it could be. It was a large task for little flavor. I think I'll stick with my old peanut butter chocolate chip recipe. It's easier and it has a punch of flavor. Will not make this recipe again.

These big cookies were a huge hit!! I added more bacon, chili pepper as well as used natural peanut butter. Really good bacon is key. These are going to be a regular around my house.
