Each stage of the bar tasted delicious in isolation, however, tasting them all combined together was quite awful because of the overwhelming sweetness. I may try them one more time, reducing the amount of sugar and maybe even using unsweetened coconut. Has anyone tried to reduce the sugar successfully??

At the risk of sounding like Rachael Ray...these cookies rock! The recipe is foolproof and the cookies have A LOT of flavor. I love the combination of the crunchy crust and the creamy peanut butter mixture with the chocolate on top.... Very compatible flavors. These are going on my yearly cookie list.

My family loved this. Nice presentation and good taste. Next time I make these I might increase the amount of the peanut butter filling. They will be on our cookie list from now on!

I enjoyed making this recipe, but I did a few alterations. I doubled the peanut butter filling, so it would look like the picture (food stylist they're great and I tripled the chocolate topping. I had a small problem with the topping, it didn't want to get to the "fudge" stage; however, a few added tablespoons of butter took care of that. Maybe it's the humidity here in Texas right now that was the problem. Any way, my husband loves them. I'll make them again

At first I thought the recipie sounded kind of complicated for a no-bake peanut butter bar - but it really wasn't that bad. The cookie on the bottom makes it - with the almonds and cocunut. Rave reviews from everyone at work - I brought it to the x-mas party. This is one I will hold onto and make in the future.

I served these at a party. It was not a popular item. They are not that flavorful. I probably won't make them again. They are not difficult but they were a little time consuming. The taste is not worth the time involved.

Wonderful cookie bar and not an inordinate amount of effort required considering it is a several layer bar. It doesn't keep very well at room temperature though...I had to keep them in the fridge to keep them from getting too mushy/gooey.
