This looked so good I added it to my cookie list this year. I made it last since it didn't require baking. I had the butter, suger and cocoa in the double-boiler while cleaning up and it may have gotten a little hotter than it should have but after I added the egg, it came together it about 2 minutes not 6 to the "hot fudge" stage. I'm thinking that maybe a previous reviewer didn't let her mixture get warm/hot enough to reach that stage. The are so rich and delicious that the tiny, 2-bite squares I cut them into are a perfect bite. Rave reviews all around.

Does anyone know if the video for this recipe is still available? I can't seem to locate it on the site.

I have not made this recipe yet. These sound delicious and from most reviews I guess they are. One question:
The recipe says it makes 5 dozen but it only calls for an 8" X 8" pan. What is the yield of this recipe? I need a cookie for a cookie exchange party that makes 4 dozen.

I dont know what everyone is raving about with these bars. Not much peanut butter flavor. Not much flavor at all considering all the ingredients. They are difficult to slice. If still frozen the top layer cracks, if not frozen, the peanut butter layer squishes out. Not good to transport to a party or the office, as the top layers are soft when not frozen. I would definitely not make these again.

Loved this recipe. ALthough I almost doubled the peanut butter filling because we are a peanutbutter loving family. I've boxed some up as little christmas gifts for friends.

I made these bars for a Christmas party, and they were a hit. Literally everyone asked for the recipe! They were super easy to make, even my 2 1/2 yr. old son was able to help. No problems with the crust being crumbly, but I did have to cook the chocolate mixture longer than the recipe called for to reach the hot fudge consistency. (Graham cracker crumbs act like a glue when mixed with butter, which is probably why the reviewer who substituted rice krispies found the crust crumbly.Adding more butter should fix this. I'm making these every year!!

These were sooo good. The only thing I did different is that I added in a 1/2 tsp of vanilla to the base, put a 1 tsp of cream into the filling to make it spread easier, and used milk chocolate for the icing. Coming from a B.C. resident, this recipe is a nice change from the traditional Nanaimo Bar recipe that I've grown up with. Will make again definitely!

These are really good - the peanut butter layer takes these cookies over the top! I didn't have almonds so I used pecans instead. I keep these in the freezer and just cut up a few pieces at a time - otherwise, we would end up eating them all at once! Will definitely make these again and again...

These are sooo good. I like the combination of the peanut butter & chocolate. I will definitely make these again & bring them to my next dinner Party.
