I tried these before reading all the other reviews but I didn't have the same problems. I used cake flour in the cupcakes and I think they taste like Nutter Butter cookies Yum! I only had 2 7 oz jars of marshmallow so thats what I used and I still had alot left over. I just put a little spoonful of the marshmallow mix on top of the cupcake and then it just ran to the edge of the cupcake. I didn't wait very long to put the chocolate frosting on top so maybe that saved the nougat from sliding off. I thought the chocolate frosting turned out excellant. I mixed in a stand mixer so I could let it mix a little longer until it was almost a whipped icing consistency. We had these at the super bowl party and everyone that had them liked them. I do agree that you probably could have go by with even just a 7 oz jar of marshmallow cream.

I am known for my adventurous desserts so I thought these would be great - who doesn't love a Snickers bar (as advertised in the Food Network Magazine. So I made these for my mom's 70th birthday party and was I ever embarrassed! I knew after the first bite these were the worst cupcakes I had ever tasted. They were so dry and tasteless that I removed them from the table and threw them away. The cupcakes were incredibly heavy and bland, the nougat was tasteless, and the icing split and ran down the sides of the cupcakes. I agree with all of the negative comments prior to mine and am so disappointed with this recipe.

I am an advent baker and like others was not thrilled with this recipe! I thought the cupcakes were a bit dry and I cooked them to perfection. The nougat was super sticky and when placed on the cupcake after a few minutes it just ran down the cupcake and made a mess. The chocolate frosting was yummy and a great consitency. I placed the cupcakes in the frig to harden the toppings up and prevent them from sliding off. In turn, this made the actual cake part taste even more dry. They look like the picture in the magazine, but I would skip this one! I wish the food network had tested this one better before printing!

I had the same problem as many of the others had - wish I would have read before I tried to make them. Everyone in my office loved them. The actual cupcake turned out well, I used a little less flour than the recipe called for. I only used 1/2 of the marshmallow creme and doubled the peanut butter which helped a little. The frosting was very difficult spread over the nougat. If I am feeling adventurous I may try it again but all in all I would probably just buy a Snickers.

I was so excited to make these for my husband's birthday. What a disaster! I agree with previous posters on the lack of moisture and sweetness in the actual cupcakes--dry breakfast muffin at best. I honestly feel that 2 (13 oz. jars of marshmallow cream is a typo. It was a complete sticky, runny mess. None of the frosting would stay on the cupcakes, no matter the tiniest bit I used.
I think this recipe could be awesome if it were tweaked a bit. But, I'll still be trying out the other featured "candy" cupcake recipes featured in the magazine.

The cakes came out on the dry side. The main problem was the amount of frosting the recipe made, especially the marshmallow cream. I had a huge amount left even after generous use. Though the the cakes were cool, the creme frosting ran down the sides which in turn separated the chocolate frosting on top.

I made these cupcakes in mini form so everyone at the retirement home I work at could have a taste. Everyone loved them! The texture was great, the flavor everything. My only complaint was the stickiness of the nouget; I couldn't get the nouget to stay on top it kept running but I will make again.

I agree that the cupcake part itself was not moist. Also, the amount of frosting and nougat produced was overwhelming. Had to make marshmallow creme from Marshmallow Fluff and some half and half (my supermarket only sells the creme at the holidays, but it was delicious! Frosting good, too. The men at my husband's workplace devoured them, they were a very special treat. Took quite some time to complete.

I made these exactly by the recipe and they were a complete waste of not only time but most importantly ingredients. The cupcakes were not sweet - nor moist - and were comparable to eating cornbread. I should have trusted my instincts when I noticed that the recipe called for marshmellow creme... which was completely discusting. My husband claimed the texture of the nougat alone made want to throw up and reminded him of spitwads. I would say the only thing worth my time from the entire recipe was the chocolate icing which taste exactly like chocolate ice cream. yum. too bad I didnt have anything worth eating to put it on. All of my efforts ended up in the trash. I couldnt even bothering cleaning the bowl of nougat since it turned into a plastic soup and threw the entire mess away, bowl and all. I wish food network had a like it or we will pay you for your ingredients policy - because I feel completely ripped.

These are absolutely deliciious. Follow the recipe exactly except watch for the amount of both frostings. They are a delightful cupcake and worth the time.
