I made this without the endives which I couldnt find in the store and substituting some other lettuce. I also added dried cranberries which I wouldn't leave out if I were to make this again.

I brought this salad to our annual employee Thanksgiving lunch; it was a sell out especially with the Public Works crew. I didn't have enough pears so i added apples, too. It was great! I also brought it to my family's Thanksgiving - another sell out. So I'm bringing it to the neighbor's tree decorating party. I love hearing: "Who brought the great salad!".

At first I wasn't sure about the mustard with the pears, but everything was perfectly delicious together. The mustard dressing is just like Pat & Oscars mustard dressing. Really yummy !

my husband and i really enjoy this salad. the pears give it the perfect sweetness. dressing provides a nice tart flavor. and almonds add a crisp twist on the consistency. add chicken/meat and if you have a quick and easy meal.

I made this salad for a family party and it was devoured. Now, I am asked to make this salad to bring to parties all the time. It is a favorite. Just make sure you toast the nuts as it makes a difference.

All of my guests raved over this salad. Everyone went for seconds. This would work well as a nice summer salad as a main course!

I needed a salad for NY Eve dinner for family. Didn't have any cider vinegar, so substituted balsamic... it was WONDERFUL. Can't recommend more highly and was easy easy easy.
