    I only used the filling portion of the recipe and it was delicious. I'm glad I opted to use the bourbon, it does add a depth to the flavor. I'll make this one again.

    Amazing! Made it for Thanksgiving and it was as yummy as a store bought pie! It got a little sloppy when I cut it up but it was still delicious!

    It was really tasty but almost everyone who was at our thanksgiving dinner thought it was a tad too sweet. I would definitely do this recipe again except that i would cut down on the sugar. Also, the crust recipe was ok. (but i might substitute it with another since there was nothing special about it.

    REALLY delicious pie everyone who tried it loved it!! I would cut back a tiny bit on the bourbon personally because I didn't care for how strong the after taste of alcohol was but other than that I would not change a thing I really loved this pie!!

    My husband who does not like pecan pie because of its sweetness, really liked this pie! I increased the butter, otherwise followed the recipe for the filling. Bourbon added just a hint of flavor! I was in a hurry so I used my own pastry. Quick to prepare. I will make this filling again!!

    This is very similar to a recipe I Developed many years ago. Try substituting dark syrup and dark brown sugar for the lighter ones, and up the butter to 8 TBS. Really makes a +++ I don't use the bourbon.

    This is my go to pecan pie recipe. My husband loves pecan pie and this is his absolute favorite recipe. The bourbon just adds so much depth to the flavor. I use store bought crust (marie callenders and for the bourbon I use Jim Beam Red Stag it has a dark cherry flavor and is quite awesome in this pie. I have made this pie several times, always with rave reviews; and am making it again today for my hubby who has been craving it. Just try it, it is awesome.
