I made this for Thanksgiving, and it turned out great! I used a frozen crust but loved the homemade filling. I didn't have any bourbon and substituted all natural cooking syrup for the corn syrup but followed the recipe otherwise. I toasted and chopped the pecans, and then after pouring the filling into the crust, I covered the entire pie with toasted pecan halves. I brushed the crust with egg white so it was golden brown and shiny. It looked like something out of a fancy bakery! This pie had such a nice flavor and wasn't the sickeningly sweet taste that most people were expecting. It's going to be on the menu every year (and I'll make my own crust next time!

I made this for Thanksgiving and it was amazing. The best pecan pie I've ever made or eaten. It's on the permanent Thanksgiving menu from now on!

I made this for Thanksgiving dinner. The filling is amazing. I had someone say the the crust was very flaky. I really thought the recipe was very simple and straightforward. Just wish I had ice cream with the pecan pie.

Great recipe, easy to follow. I really like the cooked filling it takes away the too sweet taste of undissolved sugar.

This pie is awesome! Like another reviewer, we used whisky since we had no bourbon. It tastes wonderful. I also didn't make the crust. I used a frozen deep dish pie crust. It came out wonderful and flakey. I love this pie and will be making this year after year.

This is the best pecan pie I have ever made! Everyone LOVED it. The taste was not to sweet and not to rich. I turned out perfect. A very easy recipe to follow. They are still talking about my pecan pie!

My pie looks beautiful! I made the presentation different than the recipes photo; I went with a more classic approach. My family will love it tomorrow on thanksgiving! I'M THANKFUL FOR THE FOOD NETWORK!!!

I baked this pie for a potluck and everyone loved it. I used a store bought crust because I was short on time and used dark rum instead of bourbon because that is what I had. I whipped up some maple whip cream to serve it with and it was definitely a success!
