I have used my old Family recipe for years. I won't any longer, this is the best I've ever tasted. Thank you

Overall, good recipe, but nothing super special about it. I think you could easily cut the recipe in half and use the same amount of bread. We had tons of leftover egg wash that we ended up throwing out.

My boyfriend is crazy about french toast. So for his birthday yesterday, I made this for him, and he absolutely loved it! It was just the right amount of sweet, and the batter was a great consistency so that it coated the bread without running off the sides. Just make sure it doesn't sit too long, or else it just gets too soft to handle properly.

I also added cinnamon for a extra kick. So yummy. Great saturday morning breakfast. Just dont let it sit in the mixture for more than 10 sec. or it will fall apart!

Great French Toast recipe, simple but one of the best on the web...one thing though, being from Canada, I don't skimp on the maple syrup. I only use Rouge organic maple syrup, which I get online. Once you try it you'll never go back to anything else.

I added cinnamon, which I thought helped the flavor a bit. Leave it in the oven and wait for it to puff up, it makes a huge difference!

Divine french toast. It puffs up in the oven and is so delicious. The nutmeg really stands out.

This is a good recipe. Can easily add a few extra ingredients to "kick it up a notch". *Trick to getting it to puff up is to use a hearty bread and let it soak up enough of the egg/milk mixture. Be sure to leave it in the oven long enough (increase time to 15 minutes if necessary. Should puff up nicely!
