I've gotten lots of compliments when I make this french toast. It's delicious and easy to make. I made this with brioche from Trader Joe's, and the toast puffed up in the oven as expected. This is my go-to breakfast recipe.

I've had french toast made for me on numerous occasions and I have made it myself. but this recipe was perfect! I did add cinnamon and the bread didn't puff in the oven, the oven was just good for keeping the toast heated. Still the flavor was perfect!!

Delicious! I added warm honey and cinnamon to the mixture. I also made sure the bread soaked up the mixture for about 35 seconds each side. Awesome!!!

This is a rather dull dish, meant only for those who have no idea to cook French toast. I missed the cinnamon in my basic recipe--I used fresh nutmeg but it was unnoticable in the dish. The supposed "puffing up" by placing it in the oven was a waste of time. I made this, ate it, and promptly threw the recipe in the trash. There is no perfection in this supposedly perfect french toast.

This is a terrific, simple french toast recipe. I used farmhouse bread and cut it 3/4 of an inch. At the end I sprinkled cinnamon and confectioner's sugar like my mom used to when I was little. Yum-my!

I have made this several times and it always comes out perfectly! Used to be pancakes on the weekends, but everyone always wants this now. I add some cinnamon to the mixture, otherwise follow the recipe exactly.

This is a great recipe! Ijust finished making it and I love it. I used wheat cause I didn't have any white bread. Wheat gives it a little different taste but I still like it.

We made this using Panera's French bread. We followed the recipe exactly and thought it was the BEST french toast we have ever had. We can't wait to make this for our family when they visit this summer! We served it with thick sliced bacon, yummy! It didn't seem to "puff up" in the oven the way the recipe said it would, but it was still delish!
