I thought these cookies turned out really well. They are intensely crispy, (Think gingersnap and very flavorful. I'm quite certain you could make a stable gingerbread house with this dough.
The dough was easy to work with. My gingerbread cookie cutter was a bit smaller than the one pictured on the recipe, so I got about 6 dozen cookies, rolling the dough just under 1/4 inch thick. I used a different royal icing recipe than what was suggested with this recipe.
I will make these again, and everyone that has tried these so far really likes them.
I did not have the dry or crumbly issues that others have commented on at all. They are just as the recipe title suggests: Perfect Gingerbread Men!

I get the Foodnet magazine and thougt I would try this recipe out. The dough was dry and crumbled. Thought putting it in the refrigerator for the two hours would bring it together and add moisture. Nope! Ended up thowing it out.

I made these for my friends, and I ended up getting 4 dozen cookies. I don't know if I made them too thin or what because they were crunchy, because of this I made them a second time and only baked them for 9 minutes, and they came out a little better, then I tried another batch for 8 minutes and it was even better. these cookies come out crisp and crunchy so if you're looking for softer gingerbread men like the type you find at "Panera Bread" for instance, then you'll have to look for another recipe.

Something went wrong. I'm pretty certain I followed the instructions to the letter, but my dough came out very crumbly, like slightly moist sand. It didn't roll out or hold a shape at all. Any idea what might have happened?

Every Christmas I make at least 3 different Ginger bread cookie recipes searching for the perfect cookie. I finally found the perfect recipe everyone in the family loves these. Easy to make and they taste great.

These have a really nice flavor, but I think the recipe may need a little milk or something. The cookies are just a bit dry. But they were easy to cut and you know what you're going to get when you bake them because they don't change form much after baking. Decorating was fun.

These cookies are fantastic! Easy to make and spiced perfectly, they have just the right texture. They're slightly crisp but moist at the same time. My kids had a great time decorating (and eating them!
