It is amazing how many people don't really read the recipe. The butter is for greasing the pan. Also, check your local health food or whole foods store for the raw pistachio's. Try Trader Joe's if there is one in your area. Another place to try is online. Hope this helps. As for the complaints about the different cookies. It would get pretty boring to just have the same one's listed every year. Go outside your comfort zone and try something new this year. Merry Christmas

I always look forward to these emails. This year has been a true disappointment. The pictures of the cookies are not appealing and the choice of cookies just don't look like something I would want to put time into.

I don't need to bring another sugar cookie to a cookie exchange party. There are thousands of traditional recipes out there but I strive to impress the "Cookie Divas". Thank you for the more unique flavor you have provided this year. Just a note also that more unusual ingredients can easily be purchased online.

Just a comment that the previous reviewer who needed to know how much butter.....come on...you are only going to grease the pan, can't you guess how much that might be?

if you like melbas. They were great with tea.

And to the earlier poster, if you read the recipe you would know the butter was just to greas the pan.

I can't rate this any higher. I wanted to make them but I can't find one of the ingredients; consequently, I didn't make them. Where in Southeastern Virginia can I find "raw whole pistachios"? Nowhere! Please consider using ingredients that are available nationally instead of regionally.

I have always looked forward to your series of Christmas cookies. This year you continue to have NO ratings for recipes. And the recipes are rather unusual/impractical. Pleasse get back to more traditional (and proven recipes.

May go better if we know how much butter!
