Fantastic recipe. I followed the other reviewers suggestions by substituting chicken stock for the water, and adding shrimp (thanks reviewers. Probably any white fish will work, I used fresh haddock. Make sure you use a good smoked paprika for plenty of heat. We will definitely enjoy this recipe again.

This recipe was a huge hit in my house. I substituted with tilapia and a mix of red and yellow bell peppers because that is what I had available. I also added fresh romano tomatoes (sliced. This is certainly going in my 'will make again' file and is lovely enough for company. Another benefit is that it is only 7 points per serving (based on deviding the total recipe by four for those following Weight Watchers.

Tasty and easy! I used chicken broth in stead of water and added chili peppers per others' suggestions. I also added a fish rub on the bass prior to cooking. I think it may have been a little bland without modifying the recipe. Very good, will make this one again.

Not crazy about fish in soup but this was fantastic! My husband wants to keep it on the regular rotation for dinner! I followed the recipe exactly except that I subbed tilapia for the fish and used vegetable broth for the liquid. Will definitely make again!

I'm not a fan of fish soup but this turned out rather good. I added 2 tablespoons of fish sauce to the water for a punch of flavor. The tomatoes add so much to the fish!

This recipe is very simple to make, and it was delicious! I used cod instead of bass. My store didn't have bass, and the cod was modestly priced. I added red pepper flakes for some additional heat, replaced the cup of water with 2 cups of chicken stock, and served it over rice. My husband and I got two nice meals out of it -- the leftovers reheated wonderfully. I will definitely be making this hearty, healthy, yummy stew again soon!

Delicious and healthy! I used tilapia fillets and cut them into almost bite size portions. Loved the paprika and bay leaves combination. Followed the recipe but something I would change may be to add a bit of tomato sauce to make the base just slightly thicker. Had to use a lot of pepper, but of course to each its own. The husband and even my boss who's on the Dukan Diet loved it.
