The toffee did not set and it was mushy and gross. not a fan of this recipe.

This is now a holiday staple... Sooo good and addicting! I used Kettle chips and on my second batch found it better to mix all the chips in the toffee then spread them out thinly. I also placed broken pieces onto a paper towel to absorb excess butter.

Freakin' fab! You definitely need a hearty chip like kettle cooked- Lays would be too whimpy. It's good chocolate or no chocolate. I agree with the other reviewer. Increase the amount of chips and separate them for a thin toffee layer. Loved it!

This was a big hit at our party. The guests kept asking for the recipe... always a very good sign!

This was a fun Super Bowl snack. I made this twice in two weeks and it was super easy, crunchy and sweet! I found it is very important to separate the chips as best you can when you pour the mixture out onto the baking sheet, even using my fingers to make sure there was just one layer of chips. Party guests seemed to like a light coating of toffee on each chip rather than a thick chunk of toffee. Bring this to your next get-together for something different!

This toffee is as delicious as it is fun to serve. It was a hit at the cookie exchange. Friends think it would sell well at our church Holiday Bazaar...if it would make it. It disappears pretty fast. No substitutions are needed.

The salty, crispy chips combined with the sweet toffee and semi-sweet chocolate make this a snack I still dream about. It is delicious! ( I will never understand how other reviewers leave a lower a rating on a recipe after the reviewer has made changes to the original recipe published by a chef?! Substitutions are not the same as an original intended ingredient.

this recipe is super simple and the result is super sweet crunchy goodness. I make some substitutions...I halved the toffee portion but kept the amount of potato chips the same. I also used carob chips instead of chocolate chips. It was still a bit too sweet for me and I would have like to added still more potato chips to counter act the sweetness. Overall it was very good though.
