Excellent lasagna! The pumpkin is very subtle, though it adds great texture to the dish. The hot sausage helped the dish from being overpoweringly rich. The only thing I really changed was using all of the cheese mixture in the layers and then topping it off with sliced fresh mozzarella, which was nice - still wasn't too cheesy. I also used the no boil lasagna noodles, which worked fine.

I made this for our holiday party for work. It is one of the best lasagna recipes I have ever had and I have had some wonderful ones. I printed a copy for myself and have passed it on to others. Delicious!!

The pumpkin was SENSELESS! It added NO flavor whatsoever and, being that lasagna is time consuming as it is, this step was time wasted. My husband did enjoy it and the zucchini added textural contrast. If I do make it again, I will eliminate the pumpkin and egg.

I made this dish for a pumpkin party and it was the first dish to be finished! Everyone loved it! The only change I made was I took out the sausage because there were vegetarians at the party. It has a great flavor and makes a great lasagna for the fall! I will definately make this again.

This was a great recipe! A few comments: The pumpkin flavor was not too pronounced (I used 100% pure pumpkin in a can but added a bit of sweetness. I may use more next time. I did not use sausage (vegetarian but I don't think this detracted from the dish. I used a pretty flavorful cabernet sauvignon for the red wine in the tomato sauce. It made for a delicious sauce, but was perhaps too powerful for the pumpkin (leading to the comment above
- I used fresh lasagna noodles, rather than boxed, hard noodles. I think this made a BIG difference. When possible I always try to use fresh pasta. The noodles were light and fluffy and the lasagna tasted so fresh! I highly recommend doing the same.

Excellent recipe! As another reviewer said, the pumpkin wasn't too pronounced but there was a slightly sweet flavor to this lasagna. It wasn't too difficult to make and the results were great, my family was very happy with this dish. I look forward to making this again.

I read this recipe in Food Network Magazine, and was a bit skeptical. Then I made it, and WOW! it was good! The pumpkin isn't pronounced at all - it just gives the lasagna a sweet taste. Highly recommended for something just a little bit different.

I was intrigued by the pumpkin ingredient, let me tell you, it was absolutely delicious. I have to admit it's *GASP* just as good as my traditional lasagna recipe that I brag about all the time! Very impressed!

I did this meatless and it still turned out amazing. People ranted and wanted to know the "secret" ingredient because they could all tell it was a little different but couldn't put their finger on it. I had extra filing that I used for stuffed shells and topped with pumpkin parmesan pasta sauce it was equally amazing! GREAT fall dinner.

This lasagne is fantastic! I took the time to roast my own pumpkin. We just finished the pan I made a few days ago and my husband is already looking for more. Thanks Robert!
