This was the first time I've made a pie. I'm known in my family, and with my friends, for baking and figured it was time I made on. I had problems with the pie crust being too dry, but even though I slightly over baked the pie itself, the filling still came out great! I added a layer of chocolate to help seal the cracks in the pie shell which added a little surprise to the pie. I had extra filling left over that I made into pumpkin mini muffins that came out great too! This is a pretty easy recipe, but I would recommend watching Paula Dean's video on how to make pie crust if you've never made one before.

A good pumpkin pie! I used a different recipe for the crust but still prebaked it according to this recipe but it ended up a little raw, so I'm not sure if that was this recipe's fault or not...

This is my first home made pumpkin pie. I've had several store bought pumpkin pies and they have nothing on this one. I was pleasantly surprised. Great flavor. I used a prepared pie crust.

This pie was very easy to make and turned out great. Instead of using the half and half, i used evapoarted milk.

I loved the taste of the pie but no matter how long we baked it in the oven it never set. It ended up being mushy for our Thanksgiving meal and even after putting the leftovers in the fridge they still didn't set. Any suggestions?!

This pie was good but Joanne Chang's pie is great so I suggest you try Chang's Pumpkin Pie.

I made this pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. I did not use the pie crust recipe given - I used Emeril's Sweet Pie Crust. It was very good, but not the best pumpkin pie I've ever had.

I love this recipe. The custard is not too rubbary, nicely soft. The seasoning was good, but I added 1/2 teaspoon extra cinnamon and 1/2 teaspoon extra ginger for a slightly spicier version. If you really like spicy you could add a little more than I. Best of all you could taste the pumpkin
