You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 bottle (750 ml) dry red wine
  • 1/4 cup brandy
  • 1/4 cup orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 sliced oranges
  • 1 sliced green apple
  • 1 1/2 cups seltzer

Directions

Mix the wine, liqueur and sugar in a pitcher, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then add the fruit.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 1 day.

Add the seltzer just before serving.

    Turned out really well. Next time I will try some other fruits in there as well. For brandy, I used the last of some well cherry brandy I had and the orange liquor was Grand Marnier. Oh... I added a bit of juice from my homemade spiced, brandied cherries as well (secret ingredient :-

    Anyone who explores foods...this will make you happy!
    The ingredients are very different from the "typical" but the FLAVORS are terrific. Try it and give feedback!

    Super yummy and on the strong side sangria; I don't use brandy often and was able to get a small bottle from the small bottle collection they usually keep behind the counter at the liquor store. Any orange liqueur will work as well.
