I would agree on cutting down the cider. It took forever to reduce to 1 1/2 cups. Otherwise, extremely good.

I ended up buying a 20-lb. ham as I had about 15 hungry people to feed. Everyone absolutely loved it. Truthfully, I think you can get away with just a 1/2 gallon of apple cider. This one's a keeper!

I cooked it for my family and everyone loved it. My kids kept on asking for second helpings and afterwards, my husband wouldn't stop eating the leftovers.

I made this for a group of family who came to visit and both my parents and my in-laws asked for the recipe. The rub was fantastic, the onions and gravy had great flavor, and the ham was moist even after accidently over cooking it. Great flavor.

Hands down, this was the best ham I have ever eaten. There was so much flavor.
