    Made this for fathers day it was delish, very moist but will try it with rootbeer schnapps next time for more of a rootbeer flavor. Still loved it though!

    I made this for Father's Day in a 10-cup pan and it was a hit. Moist and chocolately. I needed an extra teaspoon or so of root beer to smooth out the powdered sugar glaze. I would definitely make this again.

    I followed the recipe to a 'T.' The cake was a little dry, but very tasty. The allspice mixed with the root beer brings a little kick, and the glaze adds a nice touch of sweetness. We had it with vanilla ice cream to moisten it up a little, and it was a great Father's Day dessert.
