    I made this stuffing for a Thanksgiving dinner I hosted with my friends. I had decided to be brave and serve it without testing it on myself beforehand. It was definitely the hit of the party, and the first dish to be completely emptied.

    If you don't already have a favorite stuffing recipe, I would suggest using this one.

    I really enjoyed this dish! The apples, sausage and sage were beautiful together! My whole family loved it! I plan to make it many more times! Don't just save this one for the holidays!

    Nothing dazzling here. Just a good basic stuffing. Be careful not to let it become too dry.

    Sage sausage is very flavorful. We served this with pork chops and the two dishes complimented each other very nicely, especially with the apples in the dressing. I can't imagine serving this with poultry, the dressing flavors would overpower the bird.

    Served this for my annual holiday gathering with the turkey and everybody loved it. my friends still rave about this dish! i did add more chicken stock to prevent my stuffing from drying out. And i agree with using quality sausage. it does make a huge difference in taste.i highly recommend this dish to anyone who wants to try it
