I used this recipe as we hosted our first Thanksgiving. It's nice and moist and really flavorful. The apples aren't crunchy, which I was concerned about. I used Emeril's chicken apple sausage, and it really complemented the turkey. I substituted craisens for the walnuts, and they added great flavor as well as a pretty color. I'll use this recipe year after year!

This was the highlight of Thanksgiving. This is the best-tasting stuffing I've ever had. My wife also thought so.

If you can't find sage sausage, put 2 tblsp of rubbed sage in a bowl with 1 lb sausage and mix together well before cooking.

This recipe was a big hit with my husband and our friends for Thanksgiving, and my husband doesn't even like apples. I am telling everyone about it. This dressing will be a must have for every Holiday menu!

The sausage adds a big taste to the recipe. I will use it again next year.

this was a great hit at Thanksgiving. My nephew even said it was better than MawMaw's - don't think she liked the comment.

This is the best dressing and it is easy to make. I made it last year for Thanksgiving and everyone thought I had worked all day making it.
