This was pretty good. The combination of flavors was creative and worked pretty well together. I did think that it was a bit to sweet which overpowered the recipe. I will make it again and use less of the sweet flavors.

I'm ambivalent about lentils at best and truly thought this dish was spectacular. Somehow the cinnamon combines with the honey and lemon to give the dish a depth of flavor that is really indescribable. My only beef with it is that it took a little longer to cook than specified but that could have been my stove.

Ive made it three times, and we loooove it! tonight i am making it for a dinner party. I used kale instead of chard once, and it was delish...also, my boyfriend requests that the fish be fried separalty because he thinks the salmon makes the lentils taste fishy, but i didnt notice that...so now I just steam the chard wrapped salmon with a bit of water from the lentils (i put a exta half cup of water in in a separate covered pan and its great.

It is easy and delicious and healthy! I just made it again today for a lunch party and everyone loved it..don't put a big piece of cinnamon a small pice will sufice. Have i w/white rice and it will be a great winter dinner. We tried it w/the salmon the 1st time we made it...but we were not impressed. So now we only make the lentils only.
    Enjoy!

I had to force myself to eat it for four days just to get rid of it without wasting food and money. It's a healthy meal, but what good is it if it doesn't taste good?! I would not recommend this.

I love just looking at this dish, it makes me think of a cold night out and coming home to the smell of this cooking and finally sitting down and tasting what I was only smelling a few minutes ago. I love all the the ingredients in this recipe.

Am I correct in assuming that this recipe calls for canned lentils? or will dry lentils soften in time?

IWe love lentils and I am always looking for a good lentil recipie. I was not sure about the cinamon and honey but it adds a subtle and delicious flavor. I am also not a fan of cooked greens but all of the ingredients work very well together so do not leave any of them out! I subsituted cod for the salmon just for something different. I also thinned the lentils with water at the end and served with white rice. A hearty, healthy and delicious recipe, will definitely make again!
