    Awful...waste of time. Cookie baked as directed was essentially flavorless. I ended up sprinking a LOT of salt on the tops and drizzlling heavily with chocolate to add some flavor.

    These will disappear before they get a chance to cool! I altered the recipe a little - the base dough I left alone. Instead of filling the center with caramel, I placed a chocolate kiss in the center of each, drizzled with the caramel, and sprinkled with sea salt. Brought them to work as a test run for my annual cookie swap....they were gone before coffee break was over! Huge hit with the sweet/salty crowd!
