Each year, I pull out all the stops for my holiday dinner and each year I regret my stuffing - until now. Finally, I have the recipe I'll use each year moving forward. Everyone loved it!

The flavor was great, but I found that it needed to be cooked for longer than recommended.

My grandma makes a sausage and apple stuffing but she is old school and just "eye-balls" ingredients. Needless to say the directions she gave me were useless - I need actual measurements. This recipe really saved the day! I omitted the walnuts and celery and was happy to find Jimmy Dean actually makes a sage flavored sausage. Perfect!

We stuffed the turkey with stuffing and it came out soggy and gross. I ended up throwing it away. The stuffing cooked in a baking dish however was AMAZING. This will be my only stuffing from now on.

I first made this in 2005. Now the family doesn't want me to make any other stuffing because its that good.

I altered the recipe by using spicy vension sausage and 32 ounces of organic chicken stock to moisten the recipe. I used (2 16 ounce bags of cornbread stuffing. This recipe makes an abundance of dressing, so I put the extra in silicon muffin pans and made individual dressings. Thought I would try it out before Thanksgiving Day. They turned out great. I covered them in the toaster oven for 30 minutes and then uncovered for 15. I think tomorrow for Turkey Day I will make it in muffin pans instead of the large pans it turned out so well. Good luck!

the cornbread is sweet & buttery and the apples & sausage combo are a great complement to the savory turkey/mashed pot/gravy.

I've made it for at least the past 5 years. Can't go wrong with this one.

I didn't stuff this into a turkey but ohh was it tasty! I used a little more chicken stock to moisten it up. Use different kinds of sausage to make it your own. They don't specify what size both of stuffing to get, I used a really nice organic version and it tasted wonderful though I would have liked the option to make my own.

Had to add extra stock, but good none the less.
