I personally did not think it was great. I made it for Thanksgiving and I got a lot of good reviews from the guest.

After reading the other reviews, a lot of people commented that the recipe was too dry. I think they may have missed the last ingredient which calls for 2-3 cups of stock. With this I think the recipe's perfect. Also, use Granny Smith apples and sage sausage!

I only used two bags of stuffing and a pound and a half of sausage and cooked everything like it said, Until the oven part. We then put it in the crock pot and let it cook on low for an hour and a half then on warm for about two and a half hours. Man it was awsome. My family is still talking about this suasage after one try it made it to the family holiday recipe book.

the flavors in the recipe are excellent combination. It was a little dry but I think that was my fault. I adjusted some of the ingredients and most likely didn't add enough liquids.

But without a doubt I'll fix it again and again.

After reading the reviews, I was prepared for this yummy side dish to need a little extra liquid. I doubled the liquid, but on Thanksgiving Day the stuffing was still too dry. I'd reserved a small casserole-sized dish for a day or so later. When it came time to cook it, I added chicken broth about half way up the pan. Perfect! I cooked it according to directions and the stuffing had terrific flavor and was nice and moist.

Way too dry for our group. The recipe calls for large bags. We used 1-lb bags. The sausage, apple, celery mix had a wonderful taste and I'm sure the stuffing would have been great if I hadn't used so much stuffing.

I wonder if 3 large bags of dry stuffing mix is a typo. 3 large bags is waaaay too much for only 2 cups of water, and waaaay too much to fit in a 9x13 inch dish. By the time I realized this and tried to save the stuffing with more butter and with chicken broth, it still wasn't enough. We threw it away and had Thanksgiving without stuffing. Ingredients are good, but just use maybe 1 bag of stuffing.

I prepared this dressing also. It was a hit with everyone. It was easy to make and tastes good. This can be made throughout the year, complimenting even my pork dishes. Thank's .

3 large bags of cornbread stuffing require MORE THAN just 2 C of water total. In fact, the stuffing bag says to use 2 cups for the bag. So, I added 3-4 more cups water; if I hadn't done so, the stuffing would have basically been croutons.
