As far as simple broccoli dishes go, this one was just fine. Nothing I am dying to make again but probably something I will refresh from time to time. I added a some roasted red pepper like somone else mentioned as well. Same...good, but not Oh-my-god-awesome. But is broccoli ever that good?

Just got back from vacation with 3 other families, where we all made dinner one night. One family made this to accompany Bobby Flay's Spaghetti and Meat Balls. (never would have thought to put it with that, but it was absolutely wonderful. Broccoli had the right amount of crunch. Loved the spice of the red pepper....not too hot, but just enough kick to make it different. After he made it, the chef of the night realized that he had forgotten to add the chicken broth, but it was still great. I'll try it with the broth to see what difference it makes.

Made this for the first time last week. Making it again tonight...what a nice and easy way to cook broccoli without steaming it.

Excellent side dish to anything. I twinked it just a little by adding mushrooms and roasted red peppers. Still supper great.

I saw this on How to Boil Water and could not wait to try it. Last night I prepared the Sauteed Broccoli with Sunday dinner and it was excellent.

The broccoli was a brillant green and extremely tasty. Not a single piece was left over. Next time I may add some lemon juice prior to serving. But this was great as is.

I was surprised the red pepper did not make them spicy but added a very subtle wonderful flavor to them. I have made these several times since watching the show and my family does not tire of them. Great recipe, thanks much.

Good, but the brocolli was a little bit too al dente. The recipe doesn't say how long to braise in the chicken stock; but seems to indicate not very long. I think next time we'll braise for a 3 or 4 minutes.

We've done other recipes where we boil it for a short time first, then sautee in the olive oil / garlic / chile flakes.
