Yummy side dish! The burned on the bottom bits that kmbap said she wanted to avoid is the best part :

Perfect as written. After 25 minutes on the grill over low heat (with potatoes securely sealed inside heavy-duty foil, the potatoes were unbelievably delicious! This will be a regular side for us when I'm grilling a main course.

Yummy! This was a 4th of July hit!! There was a nice mix of caramelized pieces and tenderness. The flavor was great. I left out the garlic and thyme. I opted for garlic powder instead. These are awesome!!

This was a big hit with my family. Hubby had three servings, and six-year-old had two. Burned a little on the bottom, so will make sure to shake around once or twice the next time.

Great, savory taste that will make your taste buds smile. I inadvertently served this to a non-sweet potatoe lover and it turns out, even he loved them!

Made this over the summer and loved them. My potatoes were steamed rather than carmelized too, but I thought the tastes went very well together and it's also possible I left them on the grill a bit too long. A quick, easy, and tasty recipe.

Well, you win some, you lose some. I so wanted to love this recipe, but I hated it. The potatoes steamed inside the packet instead of caramelize, there was way too much garlic, and the onions were bitter. Luckily, I had some rocky road ice cream in the freezer to drown my sorrows in!

Made this last night - couldn't find the recipe so I forgot the garlic and thyme - but instead put some cumin with salt and pepper. Also - I was concerned about burning them as well..so I sliced the potatoes and nuked them for about 3 minutes - then put them on the grill...cooked perfectly!
